My name is Matt Crockett. I am a member of L93 Cleveland Fire department. My career in the fire service started prior to this. I have been in the fire service for over 16 years, 10 of which have been in the city of Cleveland. I am a father of 2 sons and married to my wife whom I have been with since high school. I am also a proud recovering alcoholic which I’m grateful to have close to 9 years of sustained sobriety. Currently I hold a position on the L93 CFD peer team but have been helping people find help through various recovery programs and mental health practitioners so almost as long as I have been sober. I’m very open about my substance misuse and mental health struggles but take full confidentiality for anyone who reaches out to me. I also play(ed) and coach rugby and run ultramarathons since I’m no good at fishing and crafts aren’t suiting for my brain. I look forward to helping anyone in need even if it’s just a vent.
