OAPFF Behavioral Health Training
The OAPFF’s Catalog of Behavioral Health Training is designed for all fire service personnel, regardless of rank or position. Whether you are looking for behavioral health awareness training, or continuing education training for your existing peer support members, the OAPFF has a class to offer.
Request In-Person Training
Requests for training can be made by emailing behavioralhealth@oapff.org. Please indicate the course, date, and location of the request. Available courses can be found in the Course Catalog.
Host Site Responsibilities
Any OAPFF-affiliated department can serve as a host site.
Training space must have space for 30 students and two instructors.
Supply training equipment, including LCD projector, screen, computer, sound, dry erase board or flip chart and markers.
Identify one person to serve as the point of contact. This person secures a training space, navigates the contract-signing process, handles registration, communicates with participants and oversees other logistics.
OAPFF Responsibilities
Provide a variety of behavioral health training courses for OAPFF affiliates and Ohio peer support team members.
Arrange for two instructors to deliver the training.
Provide guidance on meeting logistics.
Attendees
Certificates will be awarded once the participant completes the final online training evaluation.
